Thanks for the replies everyone. I thought it was a charger wire, but wanted to ask the experts. It seems if they're going to install the wire they would throw in a charger too since it's only like $40 for one. Guess I'll have to order one now, but not the HD brand...

It is a dealer installed option not a factory option. Neither by 10 EGC or my 11 Limited came with one. Unfortunately Harley uses kind of a proprietary connector that will only work with their charger. Their connector is bigger and wider than say one from Battery Tender.

I wonder why my dealer said it was installed from the factory. Mine works with my 10 year old battery tneder just fine. The sae plug on the bike looks thicker but it plugs right in.

definetly not the widder plug. I have widder gear. widder plug has two male posts on one end and two females on the other. this is the same as the standard sae except it has a small indent on the outside edge that the protection cap lines up with. the standard sae plugs fits just fine.

wierd indeed. my bike just came out of the crate with 0.9 on the odometer when I bought it. Maybe the moco was feeling generous lol.

Check to make sure it has a fuse installed. Don't use this for anything unless you have an inline fuse at the correct rating.
