You mention Formula 1 at the end of your writeup, is that what you ran in your primary the entire time? The reason I'm asking, You said everything looked good. No visible wear! I see a lot of post on here where guy's are using ATF in their primary's. I'm wondering is ATF heavy enough to protect the Comp area with the pressure that's generated.

32 is still a little low for a regular change, but the 45 is good for a complete teardown.

The pre 07's took 32 oz wet. 07 and up take more.
See owners manual or service manual.

You are right Ed, It should be 38 oz when changing. Thanks!

I don't know what I was thinking, I have the service manual and have changed mine several times. I always check and make sure with the bike level, the fluid is covering the bottom of the clutch basket after adding 38 oz's.

What is your opinion on using ATF in the Primary? Do you think it's enough protection for the Comp?
