Default abs rim into non abs rim...

Am I correct when I say that I can change a ABS rim into a non ABS rim by simply changing the bearings?

Help!

Thanks!

I think there's spacers you have to add for non ABS. I think the ABS bearing is wider, but don't quote me on that.

Call the guy at Hog-Pro. I'll bet he can answer this question one way or the other. Ride safe.

You are correct, just change the one bearing,
Now you will hear that you have to change both at the same time, I changed only the ABS bearing when I put a 2010 front wheel on my 08 SG.

I'm gonna add a 2010 rim to my 08 and the 10 rim is for a ABS bike. I'm gonna send them off to get chromed so I just wanted to ensure that was all I had to do is bearings, since I have to replace them anyway....

Yep bearing size, but if you go to ape hangers I hear you have to get a special tool to change out the brake lines, glad I got an 09 w/o abs. Thers a local shop that thinks that evo's are the only way to go cause the twin cam will brake down at around 30,000 miles LOL. I do know there were some issues with the 88 and the 96 till they went to a hydralic chain tensioner.
