I am considering trading my 07 Street glide for a 2011 limited ultra, Anyone made this swap. Thoughts, Likes, dislikes, regrets, lets hear it.

 

Betcha you'd be one HAPPY man once you have all those added goodies that the SG doesn't have including the Limited's 103 Power, Oil Cooler and etc.

I'd say...Go for it cuz you won't regret and look back once SG sits in the used bike department. Well, You may miss it for a while and sporting the biggest smile you ever had in a long time, LOL.

If I were lookin' (what am I sayin' - I'm always lookin':+), I'd be lookin' at the Ultra or the Ultra Limited. Probably the Limited because of what "deafUltra" says above. You get a whole lotta motorcycle for the money.

Can't speak from S-Glide to a Ultra but from my Heritage to my Ultra Limited it's like a night & day difference. Certainly no regrets here....

 

I traded and Heritage for a Ultra Limited. All i can say is WOW. What took me so long.

 

Just get some lowers and a detachable tour pack and throw em on your street glide, if thats what your after.

 

When I moved from my King it was either an Ultra Limited or the RG Ultra. I went with the shark, but the Limited is a great choice too.

 

First is the new frame. I went from a 07 FLHT STD to a 2011 FLTRX 103. I wanted the new frame & the 103. For me I don't need the tour pack & lowers. Ask youself if you need them.

 

Do the upgrade...then you can always buy the detachable kits, and go "back down" to more of the SG look when you want to go solo. Best of both worlds!

 

What are your thoughts on the handling differences from your King? Especially slow speed around town handling.
