Default Air Cleaner Trim

Been thinking of adding either the Wille G skull or the #1 with skull air cleaner trim. I already have the willie g mirrors and timing cover so thinking maybe the #1 with skull might break it up a bit.

Looking it at the dealers though it looks like it sticks out quite a bit compared to the regular trim ring (96 cubic inches, Road King)

Doesn't look like it would get in the way while riding but maybe it would when going to use the rear brake..is this the case?

Have you moved your floor boards out 1 inch Port? It will give you more room as not to hug the cover. Soos makes a nice kit!

Does that setup stick out a bit further than the football?

Have you considered this one? It will match any collection and is nostalgic at the same time. I love the look on mine!

I have the smooth air cleaner on my FLHT (29153-07). It is actually thinner then the nostalgic air cleaner that I have on my FXSTS. Plain chrome looks good.

Had one on my bike for a long time and it never got in the way. This winter I changed the theme and went with a different cover. I'm sure it's still in great shape, if interested PM me for a great price.

if so, only a little bit. because the football covers up the filter, you really can't tell by eyeball how far it sticks out. would have to measure it.

if someone wants to measure their football, i can tell you that this one sticks out a total of 5'' from the surface of the cooling fins just below the rocker box covers.

Think the football is about 4 1/2 if we measured from the same spot

i measured straight out from the fins that are just below the rocker box covers, the ones that stick out a little further than the rest.
