Hi Everyone,
I am getting my new bike next month.
2011 Ultra Classic Electra Glide Limited
vivid black
I'm glad to have signed up to this forum.
I have read so many posts and learned a lot, but I still have a long way to go.
Does anyone have any recommendations or expectations for the bike I'm about to get?
So far I got the following:
GPS - hardwire or use the 12V outlet?
New gear shift linkage
Mustang saddlebag lid covers
Push button fuel door
Tour Pack quick disconnect harness
HD Tour pak run/turn/brake light conversion
Floor board extention (harley goodies)
Short antenna's for cb and fm
I plan on doing the exhaust, air filter and power commander after I break her in.
Any other help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

GPS: Mine's hardwired, leaving the 12V outlet to charge my phone or to connect my Escort radar detector with H.A.R.D. heads up LED helmet unit
Saddlebag Lid covers: I got 'em & used 'em on one trip before deciding to install chrome rails instead.
Floor Board Extensions: Just got 'em
Short Antennas: One of the first things I got
Push Button Fuel Door: Convenient, but I haven't gotten around to that
Tour Pack Quick Disconnect: Would be cool to have in terms of looks....
Stage I: Just had it done on Monday with PC/SE Exhaust/SE AC
Other things to consider:
1. Cover with holes for the short antennas (I added gussets to a standard cover for the antennas)
2. I've found the standard saddle to be pretty good and kept it so far...you might want to try it out for a while.
3. Windscreen...I've been using the stocker but just ordered a dark tinted shorter screen to have more visibility over the screen.
4. Helmet speakers/Mike: I ditched the supplied HD headset and installed J&M units in a flip up helmet for me and my SO...I prefer to listen through these than the bike's speakers, and find I only use the speakers when I wear a shorty helmet or am putzing around with the bike in the garage.
5. Wheels: The stock 28 spoke wheels are a PITA to keep looking good. I like the Agitators but for now just put on a set of take-off SG wheels with a larger diameter, lower profile front tire that is easier to keep looking decent.
6. Heated Grips: I went with the Flames HD unit
7. Fairing Mounted Mirrors (and chrome frames): I added these a few weeks ago & prefer the look to the stockers...looks less cluttered at the handlebars.
8. Clear Turn Signals: I prefer the clear look to the yellow standard signals.
9. Backrest: Just picked one off this Forum...haven't absolutely needed one but am anxious to try it out for comfort based on so many people raving about it.
10. Chrome: Up to individual preferences. I added chrome covers to the passenger floorboard, the Tourpack, the saddlebag rails, the gauges, and the speaker surrounds front & back. Just received (but haven't mounted) chrome covers for the Tourpack hinges.
11. Motorcycle Lift: Useful for cleaning & maintenance...I got the J&S & others like the Pitbull
12. Alarm Siren: One of my first additions.
13. Chrome Passenger Grab Rails: My SO raves about these for longer rides.

I just traded my 09 Ultra for a "11" Ultra Limited, I had the grab rails on the "09", pulled them off and bolted right on the "11".
