Best wishes Lyn, from the UK. I have an S&S V107T in my old Glide, with 101HP and 107TQ, almost flat torque curve. Wasn't too pleased with it early on, but it has grown on me. Would like a lot more performance now, so be warned, this the road to addiction!

lkro,

It's been about a year since you posted your first impressions...Are you still running and liking this motor? I was thinking about one for my '06 Ultra. Is it safe to assume you got the 'touring' version of the motor (cams I suppose)?

Thanks,

still running good; it has developed what I would describe as TC tick -- mpg is still good 39 - 42 overall an excellent motor --

Your mileage running 40-42, or has that gotten any better with more miles?

Thanks,

Default T-111

Just wondering is the T-111 available for EFI on the 06 RG's? looks like it is just for CARB'd bikes.

only up to 05 EFI and 06 Carb'ed -- I don't know what changed on EFI bikes from 05 - 06 -- I would call Star Racing in Americus GA (G-Square) (this may be when the MOCO has a cease and disist against S&S)

Thanks I have my Indy checking into it tomorrow so hopefully I will get some good news... I hadn't thought about changing to a Carb system, but we will see.

Old thread, just curious what you think of your T-111 motor these days (if you're still running it)?

I'm betting the TC-Tick you mentioned is the gear-drive cams. If they're on the loose side, they make a ticking sound when she's all warmed up. If they're on the tighter side, they whine when she's all warmed up.

Mine is on the loose side...I get a slight ticking sound as well when mine warms up.

P.S. I'm only getting 30 to 35 mpgs...might need to pull the S&S E-Carb and slap a CV or Mikuni on it....just saying. The challenge with that is the fact that mine is the IST ignition set-up and there's a bunch of stuff on the intake manifold that might keep me from switching it out...not sure what I would do with all of their sensors and crap with a different manifold and carb.

Hmmmmm???

Cheers,

D-

Default t 111

Apologies for starting up an old thread, but I'm thinking about this new S&S Motor for my 01 Electra glide and I'm trying to find out as much information as I can about this motor. Thanks in advance any experiences with this motor pro and con would be greatly appreciated.
