i know a guy that owns a shop restoring cars and sells them, he also sells bikes, 2 of my buddy`s bought their bike from him, the first time i went their he had about 12 late model harley`s lined up 2 by 2 and all the way in the front by the wall was a 1965 blue and white electraglide all original and perfect , i asked how much he said that bike is not for sale, but would sell it for $25,000. i didnt take any pics but could this bike really be worth that much?

If it's all original and perfect I'd think it would be worth even more. Not many of those around anymore. Can you get some pics? Maybe some contact info.? Lol

It's worth whatever someone will pay. I wouldn't pay that much though. I know a guy that had one and it was all original except for paint. he sold it for $15k. People made offers to him for years before he sold it. he took the highest offer.

I buy bikes to ride so it wouldn't be worth much to me.
Do you really want to head out on a 3-4k trip on a '65?

If I was a collector,it would be a different story.

Obviously no, you wouldn't take it on a week + long road trip but that doesn't mean you couldn't take it on day trips.

Hell yes, I would buy that up if I had the cash. I believe 65 was the first year for electric start on the tourer's. Today's RK's are modeled after the original EG's

The 65' is the last Panhead and the only one to have electric start. It is definitely in the collector class and is worth more than some new bikes today for collectors. The price will only go up as the years pass. Here is one of the Panheads I owned, a 61' Duo Glide. I have owned 3 Panheads, all kick only.
