On board tools needed for the ultra classic?
Sup all, anyone have a list of tools needed to get you by out on the road?
The little kit that comes with the 2010 ultra wont cut it.
Sturgis trip coming up and id like to be ready for those parts that might come loose.
Sure, i will tighten things up before i go but, you never know. What do you carry? Have you had anything come loose that might stop you in your tracks?
What have you done to get your bike up and rolling again. So far i have three other bikes going. What are the odds that someone could have an issue.
Thanks in advance.

Ever notice how we have garages filled with tools and equipment but vehicles rarely break down there?
Myself I carry and assortment of combination wrenches (english and metric), a couple pairs of pliers (needle nose and regular), screw driver with assorted bits (flat, philips, allen, torx, and 1/4" drive sockets, spark plug wrench(s), tire plug kit, compressor, pump for air shocks, electrical tape, siphon hose, tie straps, and some other stuff.
If something needs worked on, I just hope I have the tools to get the job done.

One other thing I'll add, as you add extra stuff to your bike, make sure you tool kit has something to tighten/loosen it. Every once in a while some extra piece of bling has some odd sort of fastern. As the last thing added, is also the most likely to be the first thing to fall off or get loose.

I would think you have a very dependable bike, and it is fully capable of making a few thousand mile trip without trouble. So for extras, I'm with Geoff and Mare, on this one, I say fuses, tie wraps, bungee's, flashlight, fix-a-flat, electrical tape, and a knife. The cell phone maybe the biggest item in today's time, but I'm sure you already have that one covered.
If you are insistent on having a different tool kit then the one your bike came with then I would suggest THIS ONE as it seems to have most everything needed and also fits nicely in the saddle bags.
