Your favorite LOUD pipe for '10 Street Glide?
I made the classic newbie mistake of going cheap when I bought my SG last year and just threw on some slip-ons. Now I want to open it up quite a bit with more aggressive pipes and air cleaner; probably a tune while I'm at it. Any quick suggestions on the best bang for my buck?

Try some CFR's.

V&H 2-1 Pro Pipe. About $600 list price. They're out there for less.

vance and hines dresser duals to get rid of the cat, bub m-23 non EPA mufflers, SE air cleaner that looks like the one on the SE 110's. harley tuner or power commander this set up should set you back a little over a grand with installation but you will like the increase power, decreased heat and much more aggressive sound. sell your takeoffs on ebay to lower your all in costs

Get the Vance & Hines Pro-Pipe Chrome, great performance !........you can buy mine if you want, I could see getting a quieter performance system.

My wife's 2010 SG has a V&H Pro Pipe Chrome, SE a/c, and the dealer Stage 1 flash - and runs GREAT. It's LOUD when she gets on it.

Did you go with a 2-1-2? You said slip ons.
I just put a Bub 7 slip on, onto my stock 2-1 with the cat still in the head pipe. It is quite a bit louder than the stock pipe, and a lot lower toned. Bob |
I swapped out the factory exhause on my 2011 RG with V&H Dresser Duals and Twin Slash Rounds. The set up is medium loud on acceleration but come down to a very noticeable (but tolerable) sound tone at cruising speeds. To me they are perfect. You should check out some You Tube clips of the various exhausts people have installed. I spend a month doing that before narrowing it down to two choices.

Bah! All these pipes mentioned all have their benefits, but none of them sound as good as the one.... The only....
