I like the ape hangers, been thinking about doing the same.

Question: All the bagger ape hangers have the bend in them to fit around the fairing, then they shoot straight up. I don't want them straight up, I want to pull them back so I can lean back on the bike instead of forward. Will the bend in the bars hit the gas tank?

Thanks for all the compliments!! Went for a little 130 mile ride last Sunday and found the bars to be very comfy. I would not want them any taller for sure. All in all, I am very happy and proud of my work. Next up (when $$ provides), solo seat and wheels/rims.

I ordered some WO577's today myself. Magnum cables are next. Were you able to use the same wiring on the throttle side? Some people say yes, some say no. What did you do?

ooopppssss...My mistake...I just looked at you photos again. You don't have TB

I finished my install of 577s this morning and just got back from a ride. It is a lot of work but very much doable. The ABS made it a little more than I would have preferred but everything went back together fine.

As for wiring, I did not extend wires, simply routed them under the radio. Plenty of room to do that with the 12.5 bars. Since I have a CVO I understand that the TBW leads are longer than stock. Can't say if the TBW would be an issue on a non-CVO.

Feel free to let me know if I can give any pointers.

I routed the wires under the radio as directed by Wild Ones. Tight fit, but it can be done. As far as TBW, I heard you have to get an extension for that. The job is a lot easier than it looks or sounds.

Nice, I’ve had the exact same bars on for 5 years, love them! 10” WO on the orange Ultra and 12.5” on the Cayenne SG
