Blacking out- gloss, matt or both ?
Just thought i would post this, when blacking out your rides do you use gloss black, matt black or both ??? Seems most have a combination and i have not seen many with all gloss or all matt.
I am just throwing it out there as i am planning my new ride and just wanted to get some ideas.

i did front end, wheels, bars, horn cover, push rod covers/base,saddlebag supports and a munch of other stuff in gloss black
cam cover/primary cover/trans covers,valve covers in wrinkle.
plenty of pictures in my album

Here is a couple of pics. I'm going black as well, started with the black denium paint and have sprinkled gloss in some places and will probably continue on with replacing chrome with one or the other...

Depends what your after...I did my sporty in about 75% flat, because I wanted it to have a rat rod look to it..just a little gloss to break it up..
My new to me bagger is being done the opposite, because she wanted a "shiny" bike...well, gloss black is about as shiny as its gettin...other than the paint...

Gloss, especially if you did yourself with stuff you can't buy in black, gloss or otherwise!
Went with gloss because when you see all those other textures in person combined together, it just doesn't 'flow' quite right. Saw one a couple years back with damn near every texture, gloss, flat, semi-gloss, crinkle, satin, anodized .............. too busy.
Conversely, "all" black without any contrast whatsoever and you loose definition. From a design standpoint that is.
