2012 bikes and upgrades
He is partially right, companies like Vance&Hines say they want to do research and development first. Just to make sure.
But the 2011 headers worked on my 2012. I couldn't wait, that catalytic converter is a HOT sob.

This has nothing to do with product knowledge, but it does when it comes to sour grapes by a sales person. Since there are so many HD dealers around here I went shopping at four of the stores looking for the right used bike. At one a sales guy helped me and took me around the whole dealership, couldn't ask for a friendlier person. However, he did make a push to get me to buy a guawdy bike with a zillion miles on it. I didn't see anything there so I left. The next day I found a RK at another dealership so I bought it. A week later I returned to the original dealer to buy a part and the sales guy who helped me came up with the big smile and said, "I see your back". I told him I was there to buy a part for a RK I just bought and then all of a sudden his whole demeanor changed. Without saying another word he made an about face and walked away, I think he may have nodded his head, but that was it. I thought to myself, what a phony bastard that guy is. Based on that alone I won't be referring him any business, I would have based on his initial treatment the week before. He didn't have what I wanted in stock so I guess he takes it as a personal insult if a prospect buys elsewhere. Whatever.
