Default Front fender classic sticker removal

I bought chrome electra glide emblems to go on the front fender instead of the uggly gold classic sticker that looks like a after thought. A hair dryer is getting some of the gold off but there is a black back ground that is not coming off. I have not tried applying a lot of concentrated heat for fear of blistering paint and goof off ain't touching it.
Any ideals to get this off????

Thanx

Where did you gt the chrome emblems? And let us know how you do in removing the decals. That "classic" just seems so cheap compared to rest of bike.

Alcohol will remove adhesive but evaporates quickly. Kerosene will also and doesn't evaporate for a longer soak. But it's oily and needs detergent to remove

I hope I'm wrong, but you may find that sticker is under the clear coat of your paint.

Not totally sure if its under the clear coat. You can feel the ridges when you run you fingers over it. It defiantly not like the tank emblems or pin striping which you can not feel. I try the other suggestions. Thanx

You can get the chrome emblems thru e-bay or Amazon. I got them from Amazon, a little bit cheaper. Harley part # 59196-65. $10.00 each plus 5 to ship them
