Why would my 2006 FLHTCUI have a International Ignition switch. (Hawaii bike).

May have been importaed from an Asian country, or Australia.

My Fatboy came from Hawaii, and has a regular switch.

Take a look at your VIN - bikes made for the US start with "1", International is "5".

When you say "international ignition switch", what does that exactly mean? I lived in Europe for 4 years and never noticed a difference - appearance-wise, anyway?

OK here we go I'm not a Harley Mechnic So I use a repair manual and I can fix pretty much anything with it so I orderd a new Ignition Switch and went to work in the manual it has a domestic switch and a internation Switch. I disconected the top of the ingnition (key) then I removed the Fairing looked in side and lo-a behild a internation ignition was staring back at me, the are very distinctive the Domestic modle has three wires coming out the back with a plug on the end, the international has a socket on the back of the ingnition switch. so you got me I was just woundering Why?
