Default Opinions on Bassani slip-ons

I'm considering a change from my Rush w/ 2" baffles to a set of
Bassani 4" slip-ons with their 'high outlet' baffles .......

Does or has anyone installed these ??
And what did or didn't you like... sound, appearance, workmanship, customer service ???

I'll take the good, bad, and ugly on these please

Thanks

Oh boy, you're asking for trouble! You'll probably get 38 replies that say "I really like mine", and you'll get another 38 that say "I hate 'em"! Then you won't know any more than you do now! You'd be further ahead by going to a bike night & looking for some on a bike, and asking them to fire it up for you. Also, try Youtube & put on some headphones. They're on there, on different bikes. Hope you decide you like 'em before you spend the money. I have Rush with a 2.5 on my Ultra 103, and I'm going through the same thing about Vance & Hines High Outputs. (Also, sorry, but no experience here with Bassanis.)

Yeah I know, listening and seeing them up close and in person
is the best way... But unfortunately that really ain't possible up here in
the boondocks.

I have all winter to decide, was hoping some one has or had a set
and could comment.

I'd be all set if Rush would make a 4" straight cut.... if I decide to
go with slash-cut it may be the Big Louie,a set from Frank Drago,
or a set of dyno tuned from Fuel-Moto

Have fun with your decision making, and thanks for your comments

I have Big Louies on right now. The only difference between Big Louie & the 3.5" muffler, is that when it's new, with the 2.5 baffle in the Big Louie, it already sounds like the other one did after the packing all burned off. Ya know how the Rush baffles get a little louder after a few thousand miles? Mine already sounded like that when they were new.

I had a set on my bike, before I went to a 2 in 1. They were loud and I mean LOUD on my motor, put the 2 1/4 baffles in and liked it better.

Thanks for that one...I'm not looking for the 'obnoxious loud'....
Probably toss that choice out the window.

Did that mean that the Bassani slip-ons were too loud? (Sorry if I appear a little "thick" on that one!) Hey ybnorml, I "heard" a guy on here describe the Vance & Hines High Output as "like riding behind a couple of B52s." I know they're the deepest & rumbliest I've ever heard in person. Might give 'em a go.

On a stock motor they may be not too bad, nice deep sound. But when I changed heads and cams it was just to much for me. Now that I have the fatcat on I am back in the same boat. LOL
