Man o man, its getting a little depressing really. Out to the garage every other day to clean spider webs and start up the bike. The cold has arrived here too soon!

 

Gerbing's Extreme Element jacket and pants, along with a pair of T-5 gloves and insoles. Nothing but ice keeps me from riding.

 

It has been over a month for me (medical issues) but I hope to ride before winter

 

Well the thousand bucks for that gear would slow me down! Its all the rain here thats been the killer.

 

That stuff's waterproof. I've ridden for hours in a cold (upper 30s) rain and been warm and dry. Heated gear has been the best investment I've made for my bikes.

 

I'll be heading to Florida for the winter.

 

I'm with you. We get a fair amount of rain in the pacific NW, and if I didn't ride in the rain, I'd miss a whole lot of riding.

Your bike won't melt in the rain, and if you gear up for it, you can be warm and dry on two wheels, even on cold, wet days. The only reason I put fairing lowers on my bike was because I wanted dry feet on rainy days. It sure wasn't for looks, I think the bikes look better without them.

 

I just checked the weather network for St Catherine's and you have TEN days of sunshine ahead of you. I've had frost everyday on my saddle for the past f'n week. (High of +15 C and rain today) Count yourself lucky. Brother in Sarnia said he might even quit his job and go riding. I live in the wrong province.

 

Here in Vermont we are locked in that same weather pattern. This weekend sounds pretty nice though? Can't wait!

 

I feel all your pain! Living on the west side of all the great lakes brings a lot of **** weather my way here in western NY. We always get more clouds, snow, cold temps, and rain than anywhere else! BTW, I hate it here. I wanna move south where riding season is longer!
