so my out the door price is an amazing $23,975 - $17,000 = $6975 + $2000 from above = $8975.....I DONT THINK SO!!

And actually, the dealer only wanted to give me $12,500 for my UC...$15,000 was my number from a private sale

 

'05 was a good year for the UC - no problems after 10,000 miles for me.

With a PCIII, SE/AC and nice slipons, who needs anything better???

Just think of all the headaches you'd be getting too for that extra $8975.

I will tell you, going from an 05 to the 07 SG was worth it. But worth 9000 bucks??? I don't think so...

Hey Rhinoevans, remember me? I was the guy on your original post telling you that your "total raping=$9000.00". Guess I was pretty close on that one eh? I new I would take crap from some 07 owners for my post, and I did. But it aint worth it. If you keep your bike 4-5 years and don't go crazy with it then you can justify the mediocre raping that will occur then. But to go from 06 to 07 is just plain gonna hurt! And again, I don't have anything against 07's, it is a step in the right direction again for Harley and I have test ridden one(O7 RK). It was nice, but nothing earth shattering,(Harley never makes any earth shattering moves, just small baby steps trying to keep up), I wouldn't even THINK of givin up my sweet runnin 05 Classic for the PORKIN that a dealer would give me. Now if the true cost were say $2000.00, ya, then I would do it. Who wouldn't want 8 more inches and an extra gear,(well I know my wife would like 8 more inches but that's a different story.

Consider yourself intervened: 04' was also a good year. You got a great looking and running bike with lots of equity. Ride it.....

You are healed....keep the Ultra, dont take the loss. I did the same thing last year and took a bath of around 4K. Now I'm free and clear with my FLHTC and love it. Pre electronic, easy to work on, and easy to hotrod!!

 

Hey Rhino keep your 05 ride. spend that money maybe like the 95" bore or on a engine build, other than giving it to the stealer. There is NOTHING earth shaking about a 07 that reflexs 9K.
