Talking 175R16 car tire for the 07 ultra

Just ordered this tire from Universal Tire. Yahoo universal tire 175R16 will take ya right to it. Hope to have mine by weeks end and on for a trip to Texas by month end. No's about sizes worked out great. The girl should only run about 3 mph faster.

I guess I'll know for sure when I get it and put in the hole. I'll let you know how it fits in a week or two.

Austone or the Dunlop?
VERY interested in your opinion as I have been a CT guy on all my bikes up until this one where I have had no luck finding one that fits.

It is made for the UK taxies, made in China, profile is about 80, It will fit the 3 inch rims. Two others that I have found on the net are using it. I'll let ya know if it fits. I'm not that good with nor do I want to be with these computer thingie, so no link to the others. I recommend ya look the tire up on yahoo.

The bigger kawasakis, 1500/1600 Vulcans have a fair sized following for their "darkside". Those bikes use a similar sized rear, my Nomad was 170/70-16 and as I recall the tires were a 195/60-16 that was being used. Goodyear?? triple tread was commonly used. Search the VROC site for comments.

That is the Austone Taxi tire. I am one of the ones that would be interested in hearing if it fits. My 2008 RKC has the narrow rim too. Currently running the stock Dunlop D402 MU85B16.

So sorry, but the Goodyear Triple Tread, the smallest is a 205/16. The wingers and valkeri riders use it, but the have a wider rim than HD. I have the Bridgestone Teranza 195/65/16 on my 10 and love it. I think the 195 is the largest you can run without mods to belt guard or adding spacers to the wheel.

You are probably right. I got the information from the VROC site and may not have read it completely. The 195 is the common width mentioned. The Kaw Nomad has a 5" rim.
