Even though it's been a well known fact for a few weeks now, I finally got my notice from HD today. It's dated 11/9/2011, still well after most of us already knew about it. I'm still undecided if I'm going to take my bike in to the dealer and have it done.

 

Just checked my mail and I got mine too.

 

makes you winder how many notices still have to go out? if its warranty work... have your dealer do it.

Me too but I've already protected my switch and will not be bringing my bike in.

 

Guess I've been living in a vaccum... what is the safety notice/recall for? I have a 2011 SG. Am I affected??

 

I am going to take my chances, and probably not have it done, Dont like taking my bike to the dealer, I only heard of two insidences when the brake light failed, out of 300 thousand bikes, Just dont like the dealer messing with my bike.

 

I haven't got my notice yet and made a switch cover for mine also....I really don't want to take mine in..the thought of having those hamhauks hands on my steed makes me really uneasy.

 

I'll wait until my 10,000 mile service....I'm pretty happy with the service I get at my dealer. Sure would hate to go to a dealership I don't trust. Whenever there has been an issue they've always made it right....thanks Atlanta HD
