Who has the best back rest?
I do. HD adjustable, with my chopped bracket brings the pad down to the seat for an extra deep bucket feel and support. Go adjustable, allows you to shift position to mitigate fatigue, or compensate for different clothing. MCC memory foam mod maskes this pad unbelievably comfortable.

HD adjustable x3. First mod I did and never looked back. You can adjust it any way you like and it's just the best.

The only downside is the some of the aftermarket seats aren't compatible with it. If you are planning to switch to a different seat make sure it is compatible with the HD adjustable back rest first.

I've had the HD backrest. It's a joke compared to Mustang.

The H-D adjustable is nice if (and only if) you can find a comfortable H-D seat. I went with a Corbin seat & backrest, and that solved all my comfort problems.

Agree with Mustang. The Mustang backrest and support will work with the Mustang seat of course and stock HD seat. I have the Mustang wide touring and backrest and put hours on it with comfort. The backrest has a knurl **** that can be adjusted while riding and raising/lowering the backrest also moves it fore and aft some. Great quality and value.

I just put on an adjustable one with the smooth backrest, it is a little thinner. Feels great!!
