I'm 5'10" and I use a 6in Dakota Dark smoke shield in the summer and a 12in Dakota Light smoke sheild in the winter. The 6in gives me plenty of air on hot days and better vision as I look over it by about 3in. 12in in colder weather for obvious reasons.

There must be quite a bit of difference in the seat hight on an Ultra. On my '04 I have a HD 10" and look over it, and I don't stretch to do so. It came with a 12" that I looked through but could stretch to see over. I am 6 foot.

you do sit a little lower in the saddle on a SG not that i looked thru it all the time just in curves and looking at the road right down in front of you. really freaked me out not clearly seeing were i was going.

Klockwerk 6,5 works great for me, stopped the buffeting and helmet shimmy, glasses stay on, handles better

I am 6'2", on the stock seat with an LRS 9" light grey (?) standard "flip" windshield and I love it. I get some air "floating" around my eyes, but even in 30 degree temps, I don't get blasted and my eyes don't tear up at all. I hate looking through a windshield and this works for me.

It works so well, the ugly factor went away after the first ride.
This is the same thing for me

I am 5.10" and I use the SE seat, which seats a little lower. I am very comfortable with the 8" LRS Ultra Flip dark tint.
