I just recently aquired my 1st bagger.....a beautiful clean 97 loaded Electra Glide Classic with 23,000 miles. I cant ride it yet cuz the weather sucks here. So fellow Bagger owners especially E-Glide owners please tell me why you think this was a wise decision. What can I expect to love and hate....and tell me why you think I will never go back. I let go of my softail custom for this Electra, so Im looking to hear why you think I made the right choice.

 

Oh great, now ya went and did it...............all the fugly owners will be coming out of the woodwork saying that the EG model lineup is not the best, but the fugly is! In any event..........the ultra is the best!

Sorry to tell ya, but the Goldwing is the best touring bike; many here have said as much. Oh, wait, you mean best touring bike from HD. Yea, the EG is the best, most comfortable, best equipped to put in the miles.

 

I might as well be the first, it's not!

my first day with an EG was a 500 mile day, 800 miles the 2nd, I sold that 1995 FLHTC last year with over 80,000 miles on it.

effortless cruising.

Goldwing-? maybe, but I don't have one or plan on having one, the Electraglide Classic has all the geegaws i need- so i have an 09 now.

What he said about the Goldwing. I have an 02 wing. But I also just bought a 2011 ultra classic. Both nice bikes

Yep, Dawg knows everything, including Ultra Classic Electra Glide is best hands down!

 

Best is subjective. I put 1000 miles on a police special and hated the seating position,body position in relation to the neck. I find my street bob to be the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden. But that's just me. Your results may vary

 

The ultra is only the best if you don't count the Road Kings.
