Anyone else that doesn't like riding 2 up?

We got our Heritage in 2007 when I was 56 and my wife 53. We have always ridden 2-up and I really enjoy having her along but also enjoy my occasional rides alone. She is very good even though she has never ridden a bike much and I hardly know she is there. She has been my best friend and constant companion for almost 38 years and I wouldn't have it any other way.

That's one of my lines. "Can I take you for a ride (short pause while she starts to ponder) and then we'll get on the bike?" Always gets a laugh while it plants the seed.

a lot of replies have made a case for having the "OL" on the back - neck rubs, breasts against my back (can i say that? too late.), don't even know she's there, etc. that's all good and to each his / her own, although seem like they're trying a little TOO hard (hey hon, lookit what i wrote about us...). but still, for me, solo is the way to go. and i'm looking forward to looking over and seeing my OL/GF on her own bike running along side with a big grin on her face. that's a beautiful thing.
