Default Full Sac X-Pipe vs. Fuel Moto 2/1/2

Decisions Decisions Decisions....... Came across the X-Pipe the other day in search of headpipes for my 2011 FLHTCU. Already made up my mind on the 2/1/2 from FuelMoto but then the X-Pipe came up. Both are priced similiar although the X-Pipe is ceramic coated whereas the 2/1/2 isn't. Are the collectors of similiar "build/design?" Could I even tell the difference between the pipes?

You can get the Fuel Moto pipe ceramic coated and it's S/S. Have read some people have scraped the X-pipe if you ride somewhat aggressive. No, you probably would not tell the difference. This is my third Fuel Moto exhaust and I have been very happy with the product. Good luck on your choice.

You won't be able to tell the difference if you ceramic coat the Fuel Moto pipe--but then the price goes up I imagine......Had the Fullsac pipe on 2 bikes and still very happy.

You can get the FMs coated, the HTC ceramic service is listed right on their site. The X-Pipe is steel with a stepped design, the FM is thinwall stainless with a single diameter tube. The FM is much cleaner construction with fewer welds. There are several different schools of thought on the stepped header design, personally I feel it's better suited for the dragstrip, but do your own research and make the best decision you can. I can tell you FM has exceptional customer service.

? Both FuelMoto and Fullsac use the stock heat shields, so no more prone to scraping than normal. I believe you're thinking of the V&H Power Duals.

Both headers are really a great choice. They both use the stock heat shields.
Are you going to get some pipes as well? Alot of forum members here really like fuel Moto. And speaking w/ Jamie, he is a stand up guy. If you are going to upgrade your motor in the future and add more fuel moto parts, I would go w/ Jamies set up.
On the other hand, forum members on the CVOHarley forum, swear by Fulsacs X-pipe. (80% of the forum members use this set up) and also use the TTS Master tune, and choice of either 1.75", 2" or 2.25" baffles.
I spoke w/ both Jamie at Fuel Moto and Steve at Fulsac, and decided to go w/ the Fulsac set up.
Truly, the only real advise I can give you is. Both sets are MADE IN AMERICA, lots of topics on this on both sites, check to see if they are in stock (sometimes they sell out) get a turner w/ map at the same time, stage 1 filter set up, and take your time and make the right decision and do it right the first time.

Good Luck w/ your project and Ride Safe!

Fords vs Chevy's man....

Previous post state the facts pretty well. Some like one, some like the other. Either way you are getting a great product. Both are made by stand up companies. Both pipes flat out perform. I happen to be on the FM side of the bench, but the FS pipe is an amazing pipe as well.

You will be 100% satisfied with either purchase.

a motorcycle doest generate enough heat to damage the stainless steel in one and a motorcycle doesnt generate enough horsepower to appreciate a stepped header design in the other....fuel motto is popular on this forum and fullsac is popular over on the CVO forums....D&D or Thunderheader can explain exhaust pulse and pulse pulling well enough to get a degree if your interested which is kinda good to know rather than just an explanation of the flow being unrestriced that a lot of cat gutters talk about.

Fuelmoto ceramic coats the inside and outside, Fullsac only ceramic coats the outside.
