I have a 2009 FLTCHU with the regular handlebar mirrors. A month ago, I was on a business trip in Miami and rented a Street Glide for a few days. I LOVE the fairing mount mirrors. I will probably swap mine out soon.

i would love my fairing mounted mirrors alot better if my buddy didn't drill one of the holes wrong. i did one side and walked away and when i came back my buddy drilled the holes in the wrong direction so i can't get one to adjust right. other wise i like them better then the bar mounted i seem to get a better view, just my 2 cents

I love mine but, want to change the bars to PYO. I am trying to find out if I have to change them. If so, I might not change the bars at all.

Wow. Seems like a goofy reason to not change bars. The benefits of PYOs far outweigh the sacrifice of the fairing mirrors.

If you ever switch to different bars (apes or something higher) forget using the fairing mirrors. On the other hand if you switch to bar mounts there are various manufacturers that make cover plates for the holes (Kuryakyn is one). If you have a painted inner fairing you could paint these to match. Using covers is an easy way to switch back if you liked the look or decide to sell/trade the bike and keep those bar mounted ones.

Wicked Image Fast Lane Mirrors

I like fariing mirrors. They are clean.
To me bar/perch mounted mirrors look like obtrusive bug antennas
