Seems like a fair price. Try for the $1k lower, the worst they can say is no.

I would offer $16239 for the bike (within going price). A few add- ons don't matter. Let them wonder why.

Good looking bike at a fair price. For comparison my local dealer has an '09 Ultra Classic asking $18,999.

maybe see if they will through in the quick detach or a couple years of ESP or stuff like that, maybe some service work , sometimes tradeing don't hurt as bad as money , sounds like a godd deal as is but like has been stated , ask for the moon all they can say is no

The price seems fair. Another strategy would be to ask them to give you a $1,000 store credit instead of a price drop (because it is a fair price). They might consider this as a more viable option because it helps them move inventory off the shelf. The bike looks to be pretty much stock, so you'll want to spend some money on to make it "yours", so why not spend it from a store credit. Just a thought - worked for me on my last purchase.

Rental bikes are Vivid black, in service 1-2 years and usually have a few "do-dads" added. Point being, if it walks like a duck it's probably a duck. I was suggesting he check the original or previuos owner(s) and if he still wants the bike it may give him a better negotiating position. If it is a rental bike, I wouldnt buy it. For those of you who own a vivid black FLH, I didnt mean to hurt your feelings. I own a black FLH, my favorite color.

Thanks in advance for any input.
I just picked up an 08 for 17 at my dealer with similar miles. Every other dealer or similar bike was 18 or above for the same thing. Check it over, find out as much as you can, test ride it, and if it all checks out, I'd be all over that. a 2010 for that price would be outstanding in my area and wouldn't last 2 weeks.

Offer them $2k less, then negotiate closer to asking by trading dollars for accessories or service. $1000 in parts to you may only cost them $400.

By looking at the picture of it,looks like a very well kept bike at an honest price,I would try to negotiate a little but if you like the beast by all means buy it.

Here's a one owner, 3800 miles, with a few extras up in Fayetteville, for about the same price.

I'd give the guy a call...btw...it's not my bike and I don't know the guy.
