I'm 200lbs and ride solo everywhere. 18-20 psi is about right for me.

Check your owner's manual! The newer bikes have shocks with different (higher) pressure recommendations.

Hey Vet767,i haven't seen 160 for 35 years, jr high days lol. As others have said, check owners manual and trial and error. That is what i run, 270 for me and ain't asking the wife for her weight.Riding solo i'm with most others about 16 to 18.

09 & newer the max air pressure is 50 lbs. Loaded heavy & 2 up on a trip to Fla. last year I was running 42lbs & it road like a dream. I normally run about 20 lbs when riding alone on my 2010 Ultra.

2011 Cop Glide. I run 20 pounds when riding solo and 32 pounds for two up. The back half tells me immediately that I have not increased the air pressure.

Absolutely...agree with this.
When I purchase my first HD bike, the 2012 Limited, the Salesman told me, as light as my wife and me are, I should not need but about 17 lbs in the rear shocks. I am 180, she is 120.
So that is what I did, we took off on a 5 day trip to the mountians, immediately after the 1000 mile service.
The rear end banged so hard on the interstate in some construction, I had to get off on some of the back roads to avoid it cause I thought I was gonna destroy the bike. I did not bring my air pump on this trip. We were loaded pretty good with cargo but, not as heavy as I have seen some bikes loaded.
Owners manual for the FLHTK says 50 psi 2 up with cargo. 50 psi 2 up no cargo...so that is about where it stays...since it is 2 up about 90% of the time.
I never leave home with out my air pump any more.
