I just let go of it.
Pics aren't too good. Used the gas cap strap from my truck. Never have to worry about where to put the cap now.

I set mine on top of the pump, close the fuel door when I'm done fueling and drive off only to realize that its gone a few days later. I need a better plan.

This is my first HD and the removable gas cap is really a stupid thing, why can't it be eliminated like most of the other motorcycles in this world ? JMO I could be wrong ?
