Default Gas Cap

I don't think I've had to be concerned with where to set my gas cap when I fuel since my 305 dream. Where do you set yours?

I use to put my gas cap on the driver's seat. Now I put it on the gas pump out of the way with the screw up, out of the dirt. With the gas door I don't forget the cap.

Who was taking bets on when this question would be asked again?

I stay on my bike to fuel up - mainly to keep it upright so that I can fit more fuel in the tank. I turn the cap upside down & put it on the seat between my legs.

I've gotten in the habit of setting it on top of the gas pump.
