We have a lot of back roads that have added speed "bumps" to control speeding. Hate them but understand areas with kids want to control speed. With my 2011 Ultra I find anything less than 20-30# solo or 30-40# two up makes for a very harsh ride over the speed bump. I'm 225 and my wife at about 125 are not that heavy but it seems like if the shocks are too low pressure they bottom out and have a very harsh rebound so the stiffer shock is actually more comfortable. Earlier posts seem to indicate pre 2009 bikes require different pressure range.

So on a 09 and later bikes, higher air pressure is better?
