Jims Hydrosolids
Hmm, the fatal combination strikes again. Ebay bargain, 'buy it now' and beer. So I got my Hydrosolids for a very good price. But I've now seen the stuff about how noisy these are. And I know I should have done the research before but did I mention the beer?
I have had advice that says that the secret is in the pushrod adjustment. Anybody out there have other views before I fit these and find out for myself?

If you go over to another user forum that Techs Talk to each other on you will find a fair amount of info if you do a search on these lifters. If you need further info on the site I am referring to PM me.
From memory I believe the preferred method to set the hydrosolids is to 'bottom' the lifter at zero lash with adjustable pushrods and back them off .001 rather than adjust from top zero lash downwards.
You need to satisfy yourself regarding this info-- I'm going from memory here-- which is not all that good from time to time.....
Or-- if you got them cheap enough use them as paperweights and look into better quality lifters....
