So, hate to rehash an old thread, but I have all the parts and figured why not do it. I'm pretty dumb when it comes to electronics, so how do I know which one of the posts to solder to? Attached picture shows the back of the board. The switch I need to wire into is TP 57, 58, 55, 32 going clockwise. Trial and error, or does someone know which two posts I need to solder to?

I tried the Velcro approach on the frame below the triple trees but the opener wouldn't respond to open the door. It's now in my windshield bag.

Soldered it all up and the remote and switch I used works great, but it looked like **** on the bike. Ordered some new blanks for the switch blanks and a harley odo reset switch. I'll redo it again later in the week when the parts come in. I got the switch from radio shack, small, but just didn't look right. I called it the successful failure lol. I'm debating now about mounting it on the left side behind the pop off body cover. It would just be a small hole with the switch coming out....not very noticeable, easy to get to if I need to replace the battery, and easy to hit with my left hand rolling into the driveway.

Right side is best so you can keep your hand on the clutch, just sayin

Nicely done. I've been wanting to come up with a clean look and not have to worry about losing or having my opener stolen. Thanks for sharing and taking the time to post step by step instructions WITH pix.
