Default 700 miles and my butt is sore!

I did a search for "Best seat for 2007 Ultra." I got everything from a poll "would you buy a water cooled touring bike" to "do you wear finger less gloves". WTH.
I have a 2007 Ultra. After a 700 mile weekend my tail end was the worse for wear with the stock seat. My question to the knowing. I am 6' 2" and tip the scales around 235 lbs. Suggestions on a good seat for the '07 Ultra and my butt. Thanks.

HD's sundowner is a pretty good place to start. I know a lot of people like Mustangs, but for me their seats are very uncomfortable.

it is an individual thing.

I ( 6'2" 230#) use the stock Ultra seat and have run 8 to 10 hour days for weeks at a time.

the entire set up is part of it-

I set the shocks for a floaty Cadillac ride

I have the bars where my hands just naturally want to sit- stock bars just rotated a bit to the rear

I sit quite upright and have used a sleeping bag or Tbag on the pass seat for a back rest

I keep quite a bit of my upper body weight on my stomach muscles and then to my feet.

move around, keep the body loose and limber, do some stretches at fuel stops

eat and drink right, in the desert SW I drink about a liter an hour on the road and often drink gatorade or pedialyte at fuel stops...and bananas for potassium

before doing a long trip I'll do a few 200-300 mile loops to shake down the bike and myself

If town I usually run an SG seat as the tour pak is usually off.

I had a really bad experience with Corbin--- they got my money, once.
Seat was hard as hell, *** numb after 40 minutes, they said "it'll break in, call us back after a few months".

it didn't get softer, I called them back and they said "too late" , soon after i noticed the covering cracking.
No recourse or reply to my letter from then head Mike Corbin- in the letter I promised to share my experience with corbin when i could

Mike

I'm 6'-4" ~240lbs. I loved the stock 2011 SG seat for <3 hour rides, but got really sore after that. After a lot of searching I decided on a Corbin seat (custom rotten in Hollister CA). Their seats are super hard, but somehow that translates to super comfy over long trips. I was a little unsure at first, but the more I ride ( and the longer the trip) the more I think Corbin is unbeatable. Amazing customer service made it even better.

only one i would definetly not recommend is diamond custom seats... they won't listen and will just ship you what they want.. mark hartco will not listen and talks over you the whole time.. he also doesn't read emails.. his mistake cost me money.

700 miles in one day is a lot for me. I usually do around 500, thats at least 10 hours in the seat. Since I'm 6'5" I'm limited to how much I can move around while riding. There is some good advise posted about stretching, drinking... I do have the HD Tallboy seat.

700 miles is a lot of seat time and makes for a very long day. Did 747 last week end riding home from Daytona. I take IBuprufin in the am and after lunch, always stop every hour walk away from the bike and stretch. The seat is the Cop Bike air ride and most folks don't like the look of it. The feel on my *** works for me. 6'2'' and 235 pounds.
