Default Transmission Dipstick

Changed my tranny fluid about 300 miles ago to the pink stuff. I was checking it the other day per the manual which says it should be between the 2 marks. Mine is barely showing on the dipstick. It is below the low mark. I put a full bottle in, 32 oz. Is the dipstick wrong or is this stuff going some where. I'm thinking of draining it, putting a full quart back in and see what the reading is. I'm checking it on the jiffy stand without the dipstick screwed in, just like the manual says.

What year and model of bike are we talking about? My 04 Road King the tranny capacity is 20-24 oz, and if I remember right you are supposed to check it hot with the bike upright and level.

My 05 is to be checked with the bike level. Are you sure that you are to check yours with the bike on the jiffy stand?

Manual says 32 oz, check it cold without the dipstick threaded in on the jiffy stand. It says if the bike has been recently ridden to give it time to drain before the check.

What is the pink stuff you are refering to. Pretty sure all 96" motor bikes get oil levels checked on the JS.

Redline v-twin tranny fluid with shockproof. My bike is an 11 RKC with the 103.

Yes the '11s are checked on the jiffy stand and approx. 32 oz. is the correct amount. At least that's what the manual says.

Wish HD would get their **** together and settle on a standard procedure between all models and years. My Softail is checked upright. You shouldn't need to read a service manual just to check the oil.

Talked to the dealer about this. He said the real vague area is where it says approx. 32 oz. He said it should be fine but recommended adding to bring it up to the full mark. I will add an oz or 2 at a time and see exactly what it takes and report back.

Thanks
