Free mod - removed plastic oil cooler cover, '12 RKC
It just pulls off. Doesn't add anything aesthetically, and I would think it only traps heat. Just thought I'd suggest it....

The HD Premium chrome bar and shield cover is even worse. Its amazing what we'll sacrifice for bling, shroud a heat exchanger, what?

Very true. I would think the only reason to keep it would be protective, but the most fragile portion - the cooling fins - are already exposed.

thats why when i installed mine, i left that cover in the bottom drawer of the tool box. i didn't buy it so i had an extra flat surface to put a cover over......
