What you ate being quoted for the labor is a little above average...given the whole range.

Dayum... all mt buds are getting off cheap, I've been doing thier's for half the 6 pack they bring over

Seriously, I've got $200 in all the tools to mount and balance them myself.

Your paying way too much, for that price I'd buy the lift and changer and do it myself.

Maybe when he quoted the cost of the tires it did not include the tubes. If so maybe the math is more like, tires $300.00 + tubes $40.00 (or whatever they cost) + labor $160.00.

I make a point of buying my tyres from a local dealer (Yamaha as it happens!) and take my wheels in for fitting. That minimises my down time and is convenient. Buying tyres from one dealer and getting another dealer to fit them involves two people looking for profits instead of one! I've never understood that.

But $100 each for the labor?

Reasonable or a little on the high side??? Since I don't have a lift, I can't take off the wheels and take them in to have the tires changed.

What has been your experiences?
Prices will vary greatly depending on many factors as I am sure you know.
I dropped my 07 FLHT off with spoked wheels on it, and a set of Street Glide wheels, and when I picked it up later that day it had the Street Glide wheels on it, with my tires mounted and balanced, for a $100 bill. Mrs. Clause bought me a lift for Christmas this year so next time will be cheaper yet......

The dealers here in North VA wanted $850 for two Dunlop/OEM tires and mounting. Freaking crazy! This was almost two years ago. I went to an indy and got the whole thing done for $450.

man, that is crazy. i replaced the front and rear tires on my 2010 before we went on a road trip and it was $650.00 which i thought was incredibly high. but we were strapped for time, and there wasn't really any aftermarket choices at the time for the 18'' front tire. there still isn't much, but hopefully by the time i need to replace them again, i'll have a choice or two

Bought E3's off jake wilson along with $70 in tools to do it myself. Running the beads for balancing. No issues whatsoever and not very difficult to do.
