I've browsed several threads about the Danny Gray Big Seat. I had one on a Road Star I had a while back. I loved it. I'm about to order one for my SG. It is a bit on the hard side. I would like to hear from those who have a Danny Gray with Gel. Does the Gel really make a difference? If so, how?

I dont have the gel but I love the big seat!

 

I have the DG big seat with gel. Can't compare as I never had one without. Here's a write up that I did one mine

Excellent write up Eric. If you don't mind my asking, how big are you. I'm only 5'7" and 155lbs. I'm wondering if we are comparable in size at all.

 

6'1", 235.

Adding the gel couldn't hurt.

 

Have you researched the air hawk that they have as an option now?

 

Do you have one? How is it for comfort? Does it change the look of the Big Seat?

 

Don't have one have looked at them it would be a reto upgrade for my present DG big seat, have had other project that had priority over the seat but am still considering it. I love mine but it gets a bit firm after a couple of hours, if the air hawk fixes this it will be a perfect seat

 

I received a reply from Sherry at DG. She agrees with you that the AirHawk seats would be more to my liking. I usually get my accessories from Dennis Kirk because of their no hassle return policy. They list the seat but are out of stock. I've asked Sherry if they allow returns and am waiting for her reply. It's a lot of cash if you don't like it.

 

yeah not cheap at all, would be nice if there were a test period i was also nervous about the purchase but was very pleased once i received it,will prolly be sending mine in for the retro fit soon keep me posted if you decide to go with this mod
