I am getting ready to change the cams in my 09 Electra Glide with 10k miles on it. Would you worry about changing the inner cam bearings with 10k on the clock? Thanks in advance
I wouldn't worry about changing them, its simple to do with the right tools. I would change out the stock ones the first chance that I had if I were you. But, I am not you, and it is your bike, so its your decision.
If you have not seen the difference between the stock and replacement torringtons, do yourself a favor and run a search then look at the pictures of them back to back. Another in-genious decision by some moron pencil pusher to save the moco $0.85 per bike.
I'm doing 103 + cam @ 28,000 tomorrow. Changing bearings, lifters and springs. But if ya ain't going to big cams ya may be Ok with the stock bearings, maybe?
I wondered if I could use a pilot bearing puller. I guess I could buy the puller and sell it when I am finished. I dont see myself needing one again.Do you all have the collet style puller?
