Default Just rode my CVO Road Glide home and cant hear a thing

Really disappointed in how much wind I have to deal with on my new CVO Road Glide. I'm 5-8 and the bike has the stock 12 inch windsplitter but the buffeting I'm dealing with is terrible. Wearing a half helmet and there's no way I can hear the radio going down the road. Put on my 3/4 helmet and things were much better but why wouldnt they be.

Any comments or suggestions?????

I can't imagine the windshield is too short for you, I'm 5'11 and with the stock seat the windshield is perfect and the music is crystal clear even on the highway at 90 MPH.

Did you check the settings on the radio?

Question Wind deflectors!

I dont know, maybe the CVO doesn't come with the wind deflectors that snap onto the gas tank mounts and crash bars. Does it?
If it doesn't, go back to the dealer and buy them. There only like $25 or $35 and WELL worth it.
It was the first thing I did to my 2011 FLTRX last year.
I would also recommend a taller windshield but at 5'8" the 12" wind splitter should be good for you. At 6' 4" the stock wind "deflector" on mine wasn't cuttin it. Big time! I went with a Cee Bailey's Ultra replacement shield and LOVE IT.
Some wind noise should be expected, after all, it IS a motorcycle but you should be able the hear your stereo. Right?
Enjoy your CVO, it's a sweet ride!

It does come with that deflector, but he should make sure it's on it, little parts have a way of walking off at the stealerships.......

If it is really bothering you, I would be happy to take that bike off your hands so you do not have this unnecessary burden in life.

Did you take the bike for a half / full day test ride before signing
the papers ?? I'm guessing not, as you would have noticed
this........

Good luck with the "windshield guessing game"!!

I don't know how you can't hear the radio. I can do highway speeds next to my buddy's Road Glide and hear his stereo. I run with a short (for me) shield on my RKC.

The weird buffeting is why I traded my '09 Road Glide in on a '12 Ultra Classic.....The batwing is designed better.....I went through three different windshields on my FLTR. Good luck.

The CVO windshields are to look cool. Get a real windshield.

2011 FLTRX 103 with 14"WV, HD wind deflectors on crash bars & air baffle on lower trees. I wear half helmet & ear plugs & can hear factory speakers. I'm 6' & 32" in seam. Good luck. I to was worried when I went from 07 FLHT STD to FLTRX about wind, but after doing those mods I'm pleased.
