The Street Glide is the best selling bike in the US. Most dealers aren't going to deal on it. The best price I've gotten for a Vivid Black, ABS/Security, Cruise .....after visiting about 7 dealers is $21,780 out the door.
Fire cat guy, was that the one w/o security, cruise and abs. Base of $19,500?
Here in Az the sales tax is about 9% plus tag tax about 3%, plus dealer fees, setup, freight, etc....
It sounds like the best to hope for is maybe $1000 off the retail sticker, and maybe ask for some credits, discounts, for parts or service? I was hoping to get it down at least $1500 and maybe remove some of the heavy admin, handling fees?
Would they do any better on a road glide? I know vivid black is the high demand color, but that's what I have to have.
Seriously why you asking us?
What some guy got in Idianna and what some guy got in South Carolina ain't gonna do you squat in AZ.
Go to several dealerships you are willing to drive to and get their "out the door price". Then you can use the cheapest one to dicker with the dealer you actually want to buy from.

My money will go on a Road Glide, best riding bike Harley ever built. It takes a few days to get used to the stationary fairing, but it gets used to quick. Think, handlebar mounted fairing or directly to frame... do not need a degree in engineering to see the advantage, (btw I am an engineer). Street Glide is the most popular, just like Softails are sold more than Dynas, but guess which one rides best? guess which one is faster with same identical equipment? It is just a matter of taste and choice after all, they are all Harleys. There is nothing that compares to them, others just try to imitate.
my 2 cents
Just trying to see if I am realistic in my discount quest. I think their supply of either SG or RG are always limited, they seem to go quickly, more so in vivid black.
I was thinking if they sold so many SG they may actually discount them a little more? Or not?
Don't think you're going to get a better deal cause you're paying "cash."
Dealer's make more money off of the financing than you think.
Better to buy the bike on credit provided that you get the "best deal" and then pay it off ASAP. That way you would really be getting the "best deal."
Comprende~?
The last thing any dealer wants to hear is that you are paying "cash". That means no bonus from the bank, little chance of you buying extended warranty and other add ons and no chance of you buying gap protection.
We cant keep RG's in stock at our dealership this year, even though we dont sell as many, the ones we get in dont last.
