Default Some Rolling Thunder 2012 pics etc.

We arrived at about 8:45am Sunday and Fort Washington Harley Davidson was packed.

Honor guard came down with the flags.

My wife and I are waiting for our group to leave.

This is the view on I-395 where the exit ramp to the north parking lot of the Pentagon.

Over a million bikes came thru DC for the parade

A pic I took the day before, the museum director at Pax river allowed me to roll my bike into the lot and get a pic with the jet. Wish the quality came out better.

Thanks, I will definitely do it again. Some tips to follow that I learned the hard way for next year.

1. Bring cash, no vendors took plastic lol. My local celtic festival had mobile card scanners connected to phones yet no one did at the pentagon.

2. Skip the pentagon and park near the beginning. Much nicer I was told and you can join in the parade as they start rolling in.

3. Bring food if no cash, especially if your diabetic like me.

4. Bring a sheet for a make shift tent. It was hot, the sunscreen tip I got before i left was a life saver. I wore SPF50 and it was nice and tan, no burn.
