Default It's confirmed

I won the rattle lottery, it's confirmed and documented.

On a positive note I also confirmed that a 30 pack will fit in the trunk of my ultra limited. He hah

[QUOTE=Lowcountry Joe;11594335]As long as we keep validating the MoCo's idea of "normal" by continuing to purchase their bikes, I have little expectation that they will address these annoyances.[/QUOTE

Mine rattles just a bit when in neutral but the best fix is to throw it in gear and go. I don't have the occasion or need to use neutral much. If I'm in traffic, I'm always in gear at red lights ready to go if I need to.

This has a familiar sound. Haven't we been here before? "Rattle in neutral, but shift and ride and goes away"? ...that kind of thing. Just sounds like a repeat of something that comes up every so often.

If I'm recalling correctly, the consensus is to just ride the damned thing and stop trying to re-engineer it. Enjoy the ride.

Well tolerance stack is normal but poor quality control encourages it. Agreed harelys are noisy that's why I love them. I am riding it and will continue to do so. Normally I do not respond to people who think the caps lock brings a point home, but I thought if I could AGRIVATE you a little I would. Take care.

Oh also look at service bulletin m-1304, must be an issue or Harley would not have acknowledged it as a non issue.

If I misread your sarcasm I apologize.

I had a bit of neutral gear rattle, and was annoyed at the valve train noise, but when I de catted the bike, the slightly louder exhaust made it a non issue. Once the bike began to sound like a Harley...it sounded like a Harley.

When the exhaust is so quiet, you concentrate more on the normal engine sounds.
