there might be a better alternative to plasti dip. you can easily remove chrome with muriatic acid. a gallon costs about 5 bucks at lowes or home depot. be sure to not expose aluminum to it though, it'll eat aluminum. removing the chrome and then sanding the part to get some bite for the paint is a good method. as far as the paint, i highly recommend por 15. you can paint it on with a brush and it looks powdercoated. the chassis black has uv inhibitors too. summit racing has it and it's very durable and seals the steel parts quite well.

Looks like an interesting product. Looks like it is applied with a brush only. Have you used it?

Did it stay sort of "tacky" when you were done?

Nope it gets plastiky but rubbery....Good stuff. Replaced liquid electrical tape for me. Give it a while to dry. Multiple coats too.

Ive been looking at this for awhile now on YouTube and i sprayed the rear number on mine last night. After the first light coats build it more as the thicker it gets the better it will be. I'm waiting for the silver metalizer and glossifier to come from amazon to do more...

Good to know. So it's kind of like rubberized coating they put on cell phone covers. That's cool.
