Default Trailer question

Will a class 1 receiver with 200lbs TW and 2000lbs GTW be suitable to pull the FLHTK?

If you have a good, light weight trailer the answer is yes...

I used my wifes G8 with a 2000 lb tow rating and a class 1 hitch to tow my RGU to and from Sturgis. 2500 miles with no problems.

As long as it is a well distributed load and no more than 200 lbs is on the tongue....to check it just get a bathroom scale with a 4x4 about 12" long and put it on the scale with the tongue of the trailer sitting on on end...

Default class 1 and class 2

I believe I have a class 2 hitch and I tow my Heritage Classic with it. It tows up to 3500 lbs I think, not for sure about lbs but I have no problem towing the bike and a 600 lb trailor (5X10 utility)

Thanks, My truck is up in age and the wife has a V6 Mustang I am thinking about adding a hidden hitch rated as above when we want to tow the bike which will not be often.
Some people will say "buy a new truck or I would never put a hitch on a Mustang". To that I say thanks but every situation is different and a new truck is not in the picture.

A class 1 will be fine to pull the open trailer IF the trailer is light to moderate.
The uhaul motorcycle trailer would work.
If you go to the uhaul website and work it like you were going to rent a trailer you will see what i mean(year, make, model etc).
I wanted a trailer but storage was a big problem for me and i had cars not trucks. I self installed a hitch from etrailer website the first time on a 2003 BMW 325 and the second time on a 2011 Mercedes C300 sport and used a universal electrical isolation set-up...The hitch was only slightly noticeable by most people when the rubber plug was inserted and the wires tied behind bumper cover...I bought a trailer in a bag (storage issues) but i could have used the uhaul motorcycle trailer...
If you have a newer mustang with 200+ HP you will be fine with an open trailer.
A WORD OF WARNING: if you go to etrailer which is excellent and there is any mention of drilling into a steel bumper note, that drilling into a bumper is a pain..drilling almost anywhere else is easy and no big deal but into the steel bumper is difficult...and the curt mfg and drawtite brand hitches are a lot less noticeable than the uhual hitches on most models.
