Default She sits to high

Previously, I rode a 2005 Yamaha Roadstar. I had progressive springs which lowered the bike about 3 inches. There are good and bad points to lowering a bike this much; However, I loved that my feet were flat on the ground.

My dealership recommends changing the seat instead of lowering the bike. Can ya'll recommend a good seat that does the following:
1 - lower me a few inches, without sacrificing comfort that the stock seat provides;
2- will still allow me to have a passenger; and
3 - does not have an insane price.

Thanks

Going thru the same thing...I'm no midget. 5'9" and 29 inseam. I'm coming off a wide glide which I was able to put 2 square on the ground. My 12 RKC is higher.
I did the reduced reach seat (299.00) and the reduced reach bars(150 installed...but the seat isn't very comfy and is just barely worth the extra discomfort.
IMHO...just do the suspension and get it over with.

Do what i did send your seat to MeanCity Cycle .
They lowered and narrowed my stock seat several inchs and added memory foam for comfort.

WAY CHEAPER THAN A NEW LOW SEAT.
Total cost INCLUDING SHIPPING just under $150.

Shipping usps was $18.50 with insurance there Allen shipped it back fedx $15

I also replaced my stock 13" shocks with 11" Bitching Bagger Drop shocks.
They are stock air shocks cut down with diffrent spring and oil.

I am running progressive 940's with their mono tubes set to 2" lower in the front, 1" in the rear. My bike sits nice and low.

The cheapest alternative is to buy some platform shoes!

DISCO Shoes return ? LOL. I also like about 2 inches but would even settle for an inch if relatively painless and not ride affected. Mean City seems to be popular. How is the ride with the progressives ? Harsher ?

When I first started riding my 2009 Street Glide I had no rode since the mid 80's I felt that I was not setting flat footed.
I am 5' 9" an after getting back into riding the feeling of not being flat footed went away.
I needed a better 2 up seat and have been more than pleased with the Zepplin, so much so that I have not taken it off since the experience.

I have an 07 ultra. didn't like the seat......too forward...and body position was to upright. Decided on a roadglide seat and a lowering kit. the road glide seat lets me slide back as much as I want....the lowering kit helps with changes to body angle and shock angles. I can ride solo or two up pretty easy.
