Just bought a 2012 BBP Street Glide and need a much taller shield to be able to keep my glasses on and hear radio. I am looking at the klock werks 11.5, if anyone has a pic and or opinion I would appreciate it. I am 6'2 with a tall upper body and coming from riding a Heritage if that helps. Friend has a 8.5 but seems to short for me and dealer said I would not be happy with the 10 inch wind splitter for my size. Thanks in advance.

I have the 11.5 in. clear. The worst part about it is the distortion i get at the edges looking through it. I got caught in the rain after dark one evening an it was impossible to see through meeting cars.

 

Do you have any pics? It just seems a big jump from 8.5 to 11.5. I would get the 8.5 if I knew it would keep the wind from knocking my glasses off but it just seems to short. How tall are you? Are you happy with the wind and noise overall with the 11.5 other than the distortion? Seems to be a common concern with the distortion at the top area of curve.

 

Me personally I would stay away from the taller Klock Werks. The distrotion will drive you crazy, it did me anyway.
Just get a shield you can barley look over (a stock Ultra shield is 12" for reference) with a flip/recurve on top.

Thanks for the links, looks like I need to take some measurments and then check out the other windshields. I wish I could get away with a little shorty style because I like the way they look but just to much wind. Dont get me wrong like some wind that is part of the reason to ride just got used to the windshield on the Heritage and this is a little different.

 

LRS makes their Stealth and Xstream up to 10", maybe give them a hollar and see if they can get you a pic and measurements?

I have the 11' ultra LRS on mine, its been about the best i had 8.5 kw,i`ve had the stealth and a 12" dark tinted flatop it was good but i couldnt see through it (not a good thing) lol. i`m about 6`2" on a 12 FLHX with a sundowner

 

i dont think the 8.5 will give you much of a problem, you would be surprised. im 5'10 with a longer torso, and the 6.5 I have is fine. the wind goes right over my head. if your buddy has an 8.5 then try it out first.
