I took off for a ride yesterday afternoon, stopped to get gas and headed out. I got about 5 miles and the dash lights, radio and I think all the other lights went out but didn't check for sure. I stopped shut the bike of and restarted. Everything worked and has worked since.
has this happened to anyone else and what do I need to look at?

 

You need to add what bike and year of bike you are riding.
Any recent mods you have done?

08 Ultra I haven't done any recent mods other than xeids.

 

Check your fuse box. Someone may have replaced a fuse with a circuit breaker that is resetting when it cools down form a short. I run a CB in my Maxi fuse slot.
