Default What size tires to replace on 07 RK

Just returned from cruise and looking to put some new rubber on my ride. looking at the Metzler ME 880's or the Dunlop E3's for my 07 road king with stock spoke rims. The sizes don't match right up though. I came up with the 130/90H-16(front) and the 150/80-16(rear) for the ME 880's. Through reading i believe the stock rear is a 140 and should be able to fit a 150 through the ME880's. Are these the best fit? The E3's seem to match up better with sizes, the front matches exactly but the rear doesn't come in an mu85 but does come in an MU90, or will the 160b-16 fit fine on the back. Also what size innertubes do i need to order. I will be pulling the tires off myself and taking them to a local indy for mounting. also would like to put a 90 degree air fitting. is that possible?

I installed the E3's on my 07 RK Standard. I have mags so I don't know about the tube size. MU 90 16 on front & 160B 16 on back. Fits no problem. I have about 3000 miles on the rear and no noticeable wear. Last tire installed by Harley was $350. and I brought in the loose rim. I mounted the E3's the old fashioned way with tire irons & rim protectors. Cost me under $300. for the two tires. No noticeable ride difference but they seem to wear better than the OEM Dunlops.

I have the E3s. MT90B16 front MU90B16 rear as recommended.
The 160 will fit the rear which I may go to next change.
The E3s are a great tire.

MT corresponds to 130/90, an MU is 140/85. A 150/80 will fit and some brands make them the same load rating as a stock MU. With a 3" wide rim a 160 sounds too wide to me, certainly the max width recommended by some brands is 150. Load rating is important, so pay attention to that. An MT is 73/74 and an MU is 76/77.

I'm running a 150/80 16 E3 on the front and a 160/80 16 E3 on the rear. I like the fat tire look. No mods were required on my 07 RK to use the wider E3's.
