Default Exhaust help

Just got 09 Road King with stock mufflers. Want to be louder. Any suggestions of slip-ons? Don't really want to make any air filter or engine mods. Thanks!

Hit youtube and/or your local bike night. Tons of slip ons. A lot of people run Rineharts or CFRs or V&H

I really like the sound of my V&H Monster Rounds. Mine are pretty loud but I had the whole exhaust system changed and removed the cat.

My advice is To listen to other bikes, i have Monster Rounds, prior to i had Monster Ovals, would have kept them but would Not fit in my bags. It's difficult to hear what your pipes sound like, but its easy to hear what your friends pipe sound like. So as mentioned earlier go to your local dealer and listen to the others.

There will be as many opinions on this as there are slip on muffs.

My 2 cents worth...For value and performance, Fuel Moto makes a very fine American made quality slip on in various sizes and styles. They are a sponsor of this forum and their prices don't break the bank compared to some of the imported brands. You can watch and listen to videos of their products on their website.

If you get to the point that you want a full system, look at Fuel Moto's header for 2/1/2 and look at MGS Custom for true duals. MGS is up and coming and a really great product as well. MGS also a sponser here. Really can't go wrong with either of these companies....customer service and quality of product are off the charts with both.

I used the Rinehart 4" slipons, but the CFR's sound better IMO. As has been stated earlier there are a ton of opinions on which ones are the best. I'm a firm believer that you should listen to other bikes and choose which one you like the best.

I'm a big fan of American Custom for several reasons - most of which are covered on my blog at http://www.johnscrip.com/html/blog_f...d_mufflers.php

Listen, choose, enjoy. You might not like what I like so I won't recommend a pipe/ slip on, but will suggest you do what these guys have suggested.

BTW gratz on the new scooter.
